Entry Requirements
This is not set by the CIPD and would vary depending on your chosen study centres own entry criteria.
Duration
Total qualification time is the number of hours it is estimated that a candidate will take to complete a qualification from start to finish and includes guided learning hours, self study, preparation and assessment. This Certificate qualification (30 credits) has a total qualification time of 300 hours which includes 150 guided learning hours. On average it can take 12 months to complete but this will depend on your chosen study centre and mode of delivery.
Level
This qualification is a Level 5 (equivalent to Undergraduate Level) on the UK Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). This is comparable to Level 7 in Ireland, Level 9 in Scotland and the European Qualifications framework (EQF) Level 5.

Membership
If studying a Certificate qualification, you will need to join as a Student member throughout the duration of your studies. On successful completion of CIPD Foundation Certificate qualification, you will gain Associate professional membership.
